At State 48 Cleaners, we take great care in cleaning and handling your garments and household items. By using our services, you agree to the following terms:
State 48 Cleaners exercise the highest level of care in processing all items. However, we are not responsible for damage resulting from normal cleaning processes, manufacturer defects, fabric weakness, improper or missing care labels, or pre-existing conditions.
In the event an item is lost or damaged and State 48 Cleaners is found responsible, liability is limited to the item's fair market value, based on its age, condition, original cost, and reasonable depreciation. Liability shall not exceed ten (10) times the cleaning charge for the affected item.
State 48 Cleaners is not responsible for:
- Normal wear and tear
- Shrinkage, color loss, or damage due to manufacturer defects
- Items without proper care labels
- Pre-existing damage, fragile materials, or inherent fabric defects
- Sentimental, emotional, or non-monetary value
All claims must be reported within seven (7) days of delivery or pickup. Failure to report within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the item in its returned condition.
By providing items for service, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and limitations of liability.
If State 48 Cleaners determines that reimbursement is appropriate and pays the customer for the item (whether by cash, check, store credit, or replacement), the item becomes the property of State 48 Cleaners. The customer agrees to surrender the item upon reimbursement, as the payment constitutes full and final settlement of the claim.
